Community Swim Scholarship Program

Goldfish Swim School Gaithersburg has partnered with the Capitol Benefits Foundation to provide FREE Swim Lessons to local elementary school students during MCPS’ Spring Break.

The goal of the lessons are to help each student become comfortable and confident in and around the water. Students will learn water safety skills as well as basic swim techniques, i.e. front and back floats, how to safely get in and out of the water, underwater breath control, and kicking & pulling skills.

These lessons will also be 100% free for participants, with all fees being funded by the Capitol Benefits Foundation, Goldfish Swim School Gaithersburg and generous donations from the Community.

We are proud to partner with Goldfish Swim School to provide swim lessons to 16 kids. Our goal is to continue to offer swim lessons to as many children as we can. It takes $75 to sponsor one child through the program. This would cover the week of camp or a month of lessons. If you would like to sponsor a child or make any sizable donation to the Community Swim Scholarship Program, please select 'Other' under Special Instructions and type in the keyword 'SWIM' in the comment section below.
